Inclusive Connections Counseling

Welcome!

I work with people who are wanting a supportive, affirming space where you can work through healing trauma, shifting negative inner narratives, the emotional weight of navigating grief or loss, changing difficult relationship patterns, or the systemic impact and nuances of having marginalized and intersecting identities.

People that seek me out often want support managing their emotional world with more ease and gaining clarity on the things that are keeping them feeling stuck. I also help people navigate things like big life transitions, LGBTQIA2S+ support, and managing anxiety or depression. Communities I work with often are people in non-traditional & poly family structures, queer folks, BIPOC, and people that are neurodiverse or navigating the potential for neurodiversity.

With a relational foundation, building a trusted therapeutic relationship is key towards deep reflection, healing, and shifting the inner narratives that keep you suffering. I’ve seen this work help clients create space for greater self-awareness, compassionate accountability, and meaningful lasting change that helps them thrive. Clients have told me that through our work together they have felt an increased sense of self-trust, are better able to hold boundaries & advocate for their needs, navigate their relationships in healthier ways, as well as shift and heal the parts of themselves that feel stuck in cycles of hurt and shame.

Throughout my practice, I use an integrative approach of person-centered relational therapy, interpersonal awareness techniques, regulation & coping tools, IFS/Parts Work, and narrative exposure techniques. My therapeutic lens is rooted in attachment and systems; both the systems of our families as well as the social systems we live in and how they impact our mental health and well-being.

In my work with teens, I find providing an open, compassionate, and supportive space helps cultivate the trust and safety needed for honest communication. I often help my younger clients with managing anxiety, navigating grief, improving self-esteem, exploring identity development, and difficult relational challenges.

In my work with queer relationships, I use a similar interpersonal and attachment lens to help people shift out of difficult patterns and communicate in healthier ways. My focus is on helping clients shift patterns that make them feel disconnected, unheard and insecure. If you have interpersonal trauma, harmful inner narratives or unmet emotional needs, you need a safe and affirming space that supports the authenticity and vulnerability it takes to work towards change. That is the space I strive to cultivate with relationships I work with. I believe that we have to heal in relationships with others in order to create the emotional security & attunement that can help you thrive in your relationships.

In all of my work, I am mindful of the ways my own privileged and marginalized identities intersect with and impact my clients and the ways we discuss mental health.
