Powerful is our need to be known, really known by ourselves and others, even if only for a moment.

Carl Rogers

An Inclusive Approach

My work is relational at its core because I believe long-term growth and healing happen within trusting, supportive relationships and therapy is no exception. My practice is rooted in inclusivity and I strive to create a secure, affirming space where all identities and bodies are valued and respected. I maintain a trauma-informed, HAES-informed space for all my clients.

Throughout my life, I have felt passionate about helping others. Before I became a counselor, I earned a graduate degree in early childhood development and education with a specialization in Montessori education through Loyola University. With this degree and training, I worked in the classroom for a little while and then became a caregiver and educational consultant working with families who were newly in Montessori school communities. I found that even though that work with parents and their kiddos was rewarding, I found my passion and deep resonance when I was supporting parents as they navigated all the ups and downs of life and parenthood. With that insight, I decided to go back to school to become a therapist which continues to be the most inspiring and rewarding work of my life.

I graduated from Portland State University in 2021 with a M.S. in counseling, specializing in working with individuals & relationships within a systems framework.

I utilize an attachment lens and systems perspective to better understand the experiences, anxieties, social systems, and patterns shaping your life and relationships. Together, we’ll explore these dynamics with compassion and curiosity.

The framework I use integrates the following:

• Elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work

• Skill development for coping, regulation & relational ease

• Interpersonal awareness techniques

• Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET)

When I’m not being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my wife, family and friends soaking up all that Portland has to offer with an abundance of artistic community events, great food on every corner and being just a quick drive to the mountains and the coast.
